Aidy: We should've been outta sight

Watford boss Aidy Boothroyd reckons in-form Norwich City are nowhere near as good as Watford and insisted "the game should have been out of sight" by half time despite the 1-1 draw at Vicarage Road tonight [Tuesday].

The Hornets chief saw his side totally outplay the Canaries for long periods with some smart passing football and pacy wing play to boot but saw Danny Shittu`s well deserved headed opener cancelled out by a classy long range effort from sub Jamie Cureton with just 10 minutes left on the clock.

Yet the disappointed Watford gaffer was adamant that "we should have won that game".

Boothroyd told the official club site ". They [Norwich] are nowhere near us as a team but on the day there is always a danger at 1-0. With the dominance we had in the first half we should have been two or three up by half time. I thought we took our foot off the pedal in the second half and we allowed them into it."

He added "We are not taking our chances and we didn`t defended properly. We should be finishing those chances."

Indeed we should Aidy but we didn`t and now the Championship title race is wide open!
