Aidys 'Better ref' calls unanswered

Aidys 'Better ref' calls unanswered

Aidy Boothroyd`s calls for to "have a better referee and a fair wind…" for Saturday`s clash with Burnley has fallen deaf eyes at the Football League after Championship novice Dean Whitestone was appointed to officiate the game.

The Hornets boss has been up for a spot of official bashing in the last few weeks dishing out stick to the men in black after both the Preston and Leicester games and won`t be too impressed with the 'man in the middle` choice for Saturday either!

Whitestone is highly inexperienced at Championship level having only overseen 6 clashes at that level since joining the football league ranks back in 2005 and got a meager '2 out of 5` score from Brentford fans for his last showing…a game that the Bees won 2-1!

And the Northampton official - who man handled the 2006 Conference National PlayOff final between Halifax and Hereford - has dished out more cards this season than Clinton`s in the lead up to Mothers Day, flashing 80 yellows and 7 reds in just 23 games - mostly at Div 1 and Div 2 level.

Better tell Darius to blunt his elbows a bit then and let Bangura know he won`t be in the matchday squad then!
