Aidy in line for 'Kiss of Death'

Aidy in line for 'Kiss of Death'

Beware the kiss of death! Watford boss Aidy Boothroyd has been nominated for the Coca Cola Championship Manager of the Month award for February, set to be announced on Thursday.

The Hornets gaffer is up against Stoke`s Tony Pulis, Bristol City`s Gary Johnson and Paul Sturrock of Plymouth as the battle of the heavyweights hots up at the top of the Promotion tree.

But Boothroyd will surely be keen to avoid the 'poisoned chalice` and, dare we say, even see his counterpart down at Stoke pick up the award given what happened last time the Manager of the Month award arrived at Vicarage Road.

VitalWatford would also like to point out that Watford only managed a scrappy 0-0 draw with struggling Preston at the weekend - That result in itself should be enough to encourage the judging panel to look elsewhere when handing out any monthly prizes…

We can only hope!
