'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Boothroyd Bullish

Watford are yet to lose at home this year as 2008 has got off to a flyer, so a goalless draw at home to Preston is hardly a disaster.

Despite a negative response from many fans, the king of positive spin, Aidy Boothroyd is confident (and deservedly so) as Watford enter a crucial period of the season...

''That's the most dominant we've been for a while but if you don't take your chances then you don't win games.

'2007 was not a good year for us at home but this year has been better.

'That's the first game here this year which we haven't won.'

A word also for Preston who have undoutbtedly improved under wily Scot, Alan Irvine:

'Credit to Preston as they defended doggedly but we had enough chances to win by a decent score'

And that my friends is they truth of the matter, we were on top, by quite some way, and on another day, it'd have been a cricket score.

Twelve games to go, 36 points left to win, bring it on!
