Grecians eye up Campana swoop

Exeter City boss Paul Tisdale has lined up Watford`s talented youngster Alex Campana as a potential loan swoop before the window slams shut.

The Grecians gaffer is to run an eye over the Hornets 19 year right sided midfielder in tonight`s [Monday] reserve team game against Bristol Rovers as he looks to find cover for the tired legs of former Palace and Swindon man Wayne Carlisle.

Campana, who has made 3 league cup appearances for Watford - scoring in the 3-0 win against Gillingham this season - has just completed a loan spell at non leaguers Wealdstone where he netted 3 times in 11 outtings and is highly rated by the Hornets Academy staff.

Tisdale told the Express and Echo "He is someone that we will potentially take on loan. He is a right-sided player and with Neil Saunders lengthy recovery…I want to make sure I have cover for Wayne [Carlisle].'

I researched it myself, and yes he is. I remeber seeing him once in a reserve match versus Spurs, we lost 1-0 for fellow anoraks...!
