Class of 2008 boosted by new faces

Watford may not had been as bigger spenders as QPR, Wolves, Charlton or even Ipswich during the January transfer window but Aidy Boothroyd has bought well, according to fans favourite Darius Henderson anyway.

The Hornets splashed out just over £1.5m on 4 new faces at the turn of the year with John Eustace, Leigh Bromby and Matt Sadler all being lured to Vicarage Road and Hendo reckons they`ve already upped the quality at the club.

Speaking to the official Watford site, Henderson said 'I think the new faces have been different class. You have to credit to the lads that have come in because they have given us a boost and they`ve all settled in really well". Aidy has bought in excellent players and they have been different class so far".

Indeed they have. The Hornets have won their last 3 league games and unbeaten in 5 going into this afternoon`s clash with Charlton. Bromby has added steel to the backline, Sadler looks assured at left back and Eustace is 'Gavin Mahon` but with a bit of pace and an eye for a pass!

There was even credit for on-loan striker Collins John, who has yet to feature in matchday squad for Watford after joining on loan from Fulham.

Henderson added "…even the likes of Collins John who hasn`t even played yet has been in the dressing room rallying around everyone and has become a part of the team".
