Toole of a Ref sees card quashed

Andy Penn's ridiculous decision to send youngster John-Joe O'Toole off on the basis of an evidently blind linesman has been rescinded.

Consequently, the young Irishman could be plugging gaps in Watford's midfield come Saturday as they take on Chartlon Athletic.

It's been a funny old fortnight as Lee Bowyer also had a red-card rescinded, perhaps the Football League/F.A boffs are running scared of Curbs and Aidy...

good decision, but for the ref to decide to send him off anyway was wrongly judged. the linemen should have had not been allowed to choose over the refs dicision to just give a yellow/.

Indeed. I agree maybe the referee can be over-ruled, but to send someone off on the basis of what your assistant has said is ridiculous, especially when most linesmen do not see something that has happened four yards in front of them!

plus he was at a bad angle but the reason the linesman sent him of is he believed o toole stopped a goal scoring opertunity yet bromby was in front of him?? arnt the linesmen ment to be able to see down the lines?
