Hoskins: 'No chance at Watford'

Will Hoskins insists he "didn`t want to leave Rotherham", 'wasn`t given a chance at Watford' and will prove Aidy Boothroyd wrong after leaving the Hertfordshire wilderness for a spell on loan with Nottingham Forest.

The 21 year old has failed to live up to the expectations of Watford coaching staff since signing from Rotherham for close to £1m in Jan 2007 and has made only 6 starts in a year for the Hornets - and then returned a rather unimpressive 2 goals in 11 league starts for Millwall on loan earlier this season!

But the young striker told the Nottingham Press "People look at me and said 'He has not done it at Watford` but I was never given the chance. No disrespect to Watford but they have shown they do not want me and it is a thing where I am not the sort of player the manager wants…"

Forest have an option to purchase Hoskins in the summer and life back in the Division 1 limelight with Colin Calderwood`s promotion chasers might just prove the career kickstart he needs to rediscover his Rotherham shooting boots, where he notched 25 times in 40 games.

He did actually get 4 goals in 11 games for Milwall but has yet to show his quality and consistency.

Good luck to him, he evidently has something.

Hoskins actually scored 2 of those 4 in the League Cup so it is actually 2 in 11 league games.
